The influence of social media and the internet over the past decade is obvious. It’s not a question of whether your organization uses social media, but rather how well your organization uses, manages, and maximizes social media.
One of the questions many ask is: Should I just “outsource” social media management or do it ourselves?
If you’re on the verge of making this decision, not too fast! Join me in this episode and I might be able to help you answer that question.
So, you're thinking about outsourcing your social media. Well, not so fast. I run a social media marketing agency and I want to encourage you not to outsource your social media. Now that said I think there are ways to find good partners to help you run your social media but outsourcing is just the wrong language to start with. So let me explain what I mean when it comes to outsourcing your social media.
So you want some help with social media. You don't feel like you can...
A year ago, everyone went into a frenzy for this invite-only, iOs-ready, audio-based app called Clubhouse. It was like The Next Big Thing on Social Media. And just when it gained its momentum, other social media giants like Twitter introduced the same medium into their platform.
So what does this mean for Clubhouse? Will it be only a matter of time until Twitter Spaces takes off, and then we all forget about Clubhouse? Or has that already happened?
Will Twitter spaces crush Clubhouse? I think so. Let me explain. Clubhouse is the new app around for the last year or so. A lot of people are buzzing around, a lot of people are talking about it, and a lot of people are asking for invites. It's now been around for a little bit.
People are figuring out this new audio social game and how this works. And now Twitter came along and introduced Twitter Spaces. Facebook is in the process of creating Facebook Live rooms. I expect LinkedIn to have similar functionality and features...
Over the past few months it has been sad to hear about friends and their marriages falling apart coming out of this pandemic that we are all navigating. After hearing some of the statistics, I reached out to my friend, Dr. Kim Kimberling, and asked if he would allow me to partner with him and the Awesome Marriage team to host an Online Marriage Retreat. I'm thankful that he didn't hesitate and they have sure put together an incredible lineup of speakers!
I hope you will take a minute to check out the website and will consider investing in your own marriage or someone else's by gifting a retreat for them.
The past 6 months have brought about more than any of us could have ever imagined. Communities have been shaken and people have looked to their pastors for some kind of peace in the midst of the storm. Pastors have had to carry a weight through this season trying to figure out how to do ministry differently while trying to shepherd their congregation when they can't even see them face to face.
I recently heard some recent statistics about depression rates, abuse rates, divorce rates and suicide rates over the past 4 months. It's devastating.
That's why I reached out to my friends at Key Ministry to create the Online Pastors' Retreat. We want to help pastors get mentally healthy themselves as well as give practical insights into how to support their congregation around mental health. We've brought together some of the leading voices in this space like Kay Warren of Saddleback Church, Pete Scazzero of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Greg Surratt of Seacoast Church,...

I’ve worked in online ministry for more than a decade now. I’ve met so many incredible people along the way, but there is one leader that stands out more than any other. This leader impacted thousands of people’s lives online, but not in a surface way. This leader built deep and meaningful relationships with individuals all over the world impacting so many lives through the Internet. This person is likely not who you might expect to be pioneering online ministry.
Her name is Ruthi Crockett.
Ruthi is a widow in her 70s. I met Ruthi about 6 years ago at a ministry fair in the lobby of Community Bible Church. She was looking to connect with a different ministry, but our Online Church booth had no visitors. Ruthi is the friendliest person in the world and came over to meet us and learn what we were doing. As a former missionary with a global mindset Ruthi instantly was attracted to online ministry, but admitted that she wasn’t a techie. She said she had an iPad...

The Bible has shaped and impacted the world in countless ways throughout the years. It has impacted my life personally beyond words can describe. To even begin to describe the impact of this book seems impossible, but it’s my belief that Museum of the Bible has captured the impact of the Bible in the most tangible way possible.
I was privileged to attend a pre-launch event at the museum in Washington DC with my family and wanted to share my experience with you. I had a little help in this episode with our 5 year old who had the time of her life at the museum.
